Best Ever Raw Broccoli Salad


2 heads broccoli, cut into florets
5 cloves of garlic, sliced thinly
3/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds; whole
1 pinch of red pepper flakes to taste
1 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
1 1/2 tbsp. red wine vinegar or lemon juice
1 tsp. salt

To prepare

Heat olive oil gently and simmer garlic, cumin seeds and red pepper flakes for 5 minutes. Don't burn garlic! (Best to use low heat.)

Combine cooked garlic and olive oil, sesame oil, salt, and vinegar.

Toss over raw broccoli and let marinate for at least 2 hours. Tastes delicious the next day too!
